We Envision a future in which our infrastructure and built environment support sustainable communities
The vision for the Texas Clean Energy Park is to serve as a catalyst to bring business, research, workforce, and trainers together to accelerate the development and implementation of Texas’ clean energy business sector through education, training, and other aspects of workforce development.
The Park’s initial project startup and clean energy workforce training initiatives will lay the foundation for entrepreneurs to build innovative businesses in a highly collaborative environment.
Phase 1 is funded by a $600,000 Wagner-Peyser Grant administered by the Texas Workforce Commission. Wagner-Peyser Grants are funded through payroll taxes paid by employers under the Federal Unemployment Tax Act (FUTA). Appropriated by the U.S. Congress and allocated to states by the Secretary of Labor, the funds are given annually to various organizations to provide workforce training programs.
