BUSINESS COUNCIL
 Participating
on the Texas Foundation for Innovative Communities Business Council are
representatives of central Texas industries and businesses, trade
organizations, regional utility companies and industry councils. They
meet quarterly to review future training activity in areas related to
efficiency and renewable energy, and to help direct funding into areas
that will directly benefit businesses. Energy efficiency and renewable
energy related businesses are among the few growth sectors and
educators and workforce development resource agencies are hungry for
information on what businesses need in this sector. Knowing the new
employee skills required and projected hiring plans of businesses in
this space woudl allow them to plan appropriately. |
